Summary - Metro Tennis organizes adult, kids, and corporate tennis matches and competitions in the New York Metropolitan area. More than a year ago, I built an online bulletin system for them to track real-time match updates, scores, and rankings. At the time, Metro Tennis accepted payment manually either by taking credit card payment over the phone or mail-in checks. Because of the large number of tennis enthusiasts, the resources and personnel of Metro Tennis were stretched to the limit. To counter growing demand, I set out to migrate their billing operation online by allowing them to accept credit card payment over the Internet and build a back-end payment system to streamline payment operation. Within the first three weeks of launching the new system, the system processed over 1,000 individual transactions with total over $150,000.00. |
