Summary - One of the premiere string quartets of our generation, the Miró String Quartet enjoys an active international touring schedule of more than 60 concerts a year. To keep up with their demanding schedule and keep in touch with their audience, the Quartet wanted a web site where they could update their audience with the latest concert information, concert reviews, and travel journals, plus a back-end system that allows them to update, modify, and maintain their online operation with ease and without ever having to deal with HTML coding. In response to their needs, I developed a web-enabled database back-end where the quartet members can easily perform a number of tasks through the control panel, including the management of concert, review, and journal data. CGI programs automatically retrieve updated and modified data and post them onto dynamically generated pages on the web site. This ensures that fans always get the most up-to-date information and the latest news. |
