Summary - The Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) was established in 1992 to improve education and enrich the lives of youngsters in New York City public elementary and middle schools, through developing their skills in a wide-range of after-school sports, arts, and educational activities. The activities include: art, ballet, baseball, basketball, chess, dance, football, fencing, golf, handball, judo, karate, soccer, tennis, track and more. SASF wants to track attendance for all their programs and sites, and eliminate the need for unnecessary and time consuming paper trail and record keeping. Leveraging Internet technologies, I developed an online activities tracking system where each site director is able to manage his or her own records online. As a result, management can now see an aggregate real-time statistic of activities at all their sites. |
